Will Certification Help You Grow Your Career 1
Resignation Letter For An Example Career Growth 2021 - Job Search
Writing a letter of resignation when leaving a job is not required but is recommended.
So it is good policy to write one. This letter will be saved even if you are no longer with the company. It serves as a record of your last day and other important information. Having these details on paper will help you avoid unnecessary misunderstandings. By writing a polite, professional letter of resignation, you can make a lasting positive impression on your manager and HR. This is important because you never know who other people you know in your industry.
You will be glad you made a good impression if years later you need to get a reference from your manager or the company.
A common reason for resigning is because your job no longer offers the opportunities you are looking for to grow your career. This can mean that there is no path to a promotion for you or that there are no projects available that will allow you to develop new skills.
Whether you use email or post, a letter of resignation is essential to let your employer know that you are leaving your employment to share your last day, and more. What other information should you include in your letter? And how can it be formulated appropriately? Find out more details and use this sample letter for inspiration as you write your own letter of resignation.
This is an example of a resignation letter that you can use if your current job does not offer any growth opportunities. Download the cancellation letter template (compatible with Google Docs and Word Online) or see more examples below.

Dear Mr. Rodriguez,
Please note this notice of resignation from my position as HR assistant at Manufly Communications with effect from September 30th.
The last four years at Manufly have been incredible. I enjoyed working here and feel like I have to leave with a lot of experience. However, I have expressed an interest in climbing the ladder many times over the years and I see that this position does not have as much room for growth as I initially expected. I have the feeling that I have to develop myself further and look for a position that enables more responsibility and professional career development.
Being your assistant has been very enjoyable over the past few years, but unfortunately I have to keep going to do the best for myself and my career. I hope to keep in touch and would like to thank you again for the time we spent together. I wish you all the best.
With best regards,
Your signature (printed letter)
What information does it contain?
The most important piece of information to include on your resignation letter is the fact that you are resigning. Immediately afterwards you should state your last day. This will help you and your manager avoid confusion. Ideally, you will be given two weeks' notice, although this is not always possible. You will usually include both pieces of information in the first sentence of your letter of resignation.
Everything else in your letter of resignation is optional. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't include it. As mentioned above, it will be helpful to leave a positive attitude in this letter.
To do this, consider thanking your former employer for the opportunity. It is not strictly necessary to share the reason you resigned. However, as you can see in the example above, you can provide details if you wish. It may also put some thought into indicating plans for the transition, indicating your availability during the two week notice period and / or the time immediately following.
Avoid being negative regardless of any legitimate frustrations you may have with the company, your coworkers, or your line manager. This letter is not the place to speak about your complaints. It will likely land on your file and be checked whenever a prospective employer asks for a reference check to verify your start and end dates.
Since this is a professional letter, it should be formal in your language. When you print the letter, use the appropriate formatting for business letters. Even if you send it via email, avoid using slang or inside jokes (even if the letter is sent several times a day to someone you email).
