Which country has expensive clothes?

The top 10 most popular fashion brands

With our clothing from certain top fashion brands, we show the world who we are at first glance. It lets everyone know what mood we are in and what we want to radiate. The right style of clothing has to do with finding the right brand that fits your personality. The global search engine Lyst has analyzed the online search queries of male shoppers and shows the ten hottest brands among men worldwide.

10th place: Moncler

When temperatures drop and freezing gusts of wind hit the streets, there's nothing like a puffer jacket to fight the cold. There is no doubt that the voluminous jackets are back on the rise (and as you saw at the fashion shows for next winter, they are becoming more and more important). Moncler combines utility, comfort and fashion in its designs and thus lands in tenth place among the most popular brands.

9th place: Prada

The creative director Miuccia Prada reintroduced the legendary nylon material from Prada (meanwhile for the house) as well as the label's retro logo and created designs with a modern influence on leisure. A kind of homage to the early 90s that has proven itself among modern luxury consumers. Compared to the top fashion brands worldwide, however, Rolex is very popular with men in Germany and takes Prada's place in the ranking.

8th place: Burberry

The British fashion house Burberry attracted a lot of attention with “See now, buy now” and online video campaigns. Riccardo Tisci gave the traditional brand a make-over and launched a new logo (here you can find out everything about the new Burberry logo). While the characteristic checks are still a bestseller for men's jackets, the brand has also opened up new product lines such as its watch and perfume collections.

7th place: Saint Laurent

What feels modern about the Saint Laurent brand is the confrontation with male sensuality, because "sensuality transcends all gender boundaries," says designer Anthony Vaccarello. The label frees itself from gender-based thinking and stands for fashion with a strong personality. A label that is very contemporary and therefore ranks seventh in the ranking of the hottest fashion brands.

6th place: Stone Island

From the collaboration with Supreme and NikeLab, to a growing selection of technologically advanced jackets, T-shirts and hoodies, to a 5,300 square meter flagship store in Los Angeles - the Italian label Stone Island is definitely in tune with the times. For German men, however, Adidas takes sixth place ahead of Stone Island.

5th place: Versace

From actors to rappers, everyone who wanted to be fashionable in the '90s wore Versace. Today, the iconic logo with Medusa's head remains a key to a world of luxury and fantasy. The Versace siblings built a brand from scratch. From Gianni's original vision to Donatella's new take, the brand still stays fresh in the bustling world of fashion. Acne Studios, on the other hand, ranks fifth among the most popular brands among German users.

3rd place: Off-White

Virgil Abloh's cult streetwear label Off-White ranks third among the most popular brands. Which is partly due to the many co-ops with Nike or Ikea as well as the appointment of Abloh as artistic director of the men's line at Louis Vuitton. Virgil Abloh knows how to close the gap between high fashion and streetwear and uses off-white as a medium that brings the two closer together.

The resurgence of 90s fashion trends is making logos like Gucci's one very popular with younger consumers. The brand nearly doubled its sales in 2018, with consumers under 35 accounting for 55% of those sales.
