Google Play Services stopped - what to do?

If the problem persists, first delete all app settings. To do this, switch to the general app overview in the settings and tap on the three dots in the top right corner. Select the option in the new menu Reset app preferences.

Note that although errors can be corrected this way, all the app settings that have been made will also be reset. So you have to download all previous app updates again and, if necessary, switch off any applications that have been deactivated. Saved data such as logins, save games or other progress are retained.
