Pushkov Power advised to think about the air strikes on hospitals, rather than the Crimea

The head of the Duma Committee on International Affairs Alexei Pushkov commented on the statement US Permanent Representative to the UN Samantha Power on sanctions against Russia, advised her to think about the bombing of hospitals, rather than the Crimea issue.

Earlier Power stated that the US would abandon sanctions against Russia, only if the provisions of the Minsk Agreement to resolve the conflict in Ukraine will be fully respected. She added that the US has upheld the limitations associated with the Crimea, as long as Russia “will not stop the occupation of the peninsula.”

“Eighty countries have put forward in the UN draft resolution against the practice bombing of hospitals, which are known US Samantha Power have to think about it, not about the Crimea.” - Pushkov wrote in his microblog on Twitter.

Regarding the attacks on hospitals, the Russian deputy mentioned draft UN Security Council resolution, calls for protection of humanitarian workers during armed conflict and condemning attacks on medical facilities, which was discussed on May 3. US categorically denied any involvement in the bombing of civilian targets.

US accuses Russia of “annexation of Crimea” and “military invasion to the east of Ukraine.” Moscow has repeatedly stated that the peninsula was a part of Russia on the basis of a legal referendum, and the events in the south-eastern Ukraine, Russia is not involved and interested in the fact that Ukraine has overcome the political and economic crisis.
