Venezuelan President announced collect 10 million signatures for the cancellation of US sanctions

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced on Sunday the start of the campaign to collect signatures for the lifting of sanctions imposed by the United States against the South American country.

On Monday, US President Barack Obama signed a decree introducing a state of emergency in relation to Venezuela, as the situation in the South American country supposedly poses a danger to the United States. As part of the decree were also adopted sanctions against seven senior Venezuelan officials.

“I sent a letter to the people of the United States, and in all public areas of the country by visiting private homes, we will make sure that this letter will sign at least 10 million Venezuelans. Obama, the abolition of the imperialist decree that threatens Venezuela!” - Leads portal Noticias24 statement Maduro, and repeated them in English.

According to the Venezuelan leader, the campaign will extend to other countries, where people can also put their signatures against Washington steps taken.
