Reuters: Bulgaria refuses to strengthen the NATO presence in the Black Sea

Bulgaria does not intend to join NATO’s plans to strengthen its presence in the Black Sea, as it does not want to wage a war in the region. This was stated by Prime Minister of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov, reports Reuters.

So, Borisov condemned the alliance plans to increase the number of warships in the Black Sea for the “containment of Russia”.

“I always said I wanted to see in the Black Sea fishing vessel, boat, big ships with tourists rather than an arena of military action I do not want a war in the Black Sea.” - Said the Bulgarian Prime Minister.

Recall that at the meeting of defense ministers of NATO member countries, which began on June 14 in Brussels, in particular, discussed the containment of Russia. It is noteworthy that this theme ousted from the agenda of the anti-terrorist struggle and the migration crisis.
